Tom Birmingham

Tom helps lead L1, Lorient’s value creation team, partnering with portfolio company management teams to deploy Lorient’s repeatable operating framework, powered by L1OS and Morpheus. Prior to joining Lorient, Tom was Chief of Staff and Executive Director of Product and Strategic Partnerships at MDVIP, a national concierge physician platform. Previously, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he focused on value creation and large-scale operational transformations. Tom began his career in healthcare investment banking at Citi. He holds a BA in Economics and a BS in Business Management from Stony Brook University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
Beyond The Bio
Tom grew up on Long Island, NY and now lives in Connecticut. He played music semi-professionally in high school and college before trading his drum kit for spreadsheets and PowerPoint slides. He enjoys spending time boating and is continuously trying to improve his golf and tennis game, where his sense of rhythm has proven no help at all. He enjoys working alongside leadership teams to build great companies.
